We all face challenges at times.
Sometimes these challenges can become so overwhelming that we have trouble achieving goals or even coping day to day.

I listen carefully and empathically to fully understand your concerns. Then I work with you to activate a results-oriented treatment process that can change your life for the better. The human spirit is resilient. Life can push a person off course, but we can be guided back onto a more fulfilling path.

Therapy is not an easy process, but we will work together, one step at a time. With collaboration, commitment and caring support, small steps can lead to huge gains that last a lifetime.

You are unique, as are the challenges and stresses you face, and so is your treatment. The first step to understanding you and what you need is a simple phone call and then we will set up a time to meet.

The first few sessions will be to help you cope with your current needs.  As the working relationship continues, we will have open and honest discussion about your history and how your life is being disrupted. Together, we will map out your therapeutic goals and determine the best approach for you, utilizing:

Interpersonally oriented psychotherapy

My approach to psychotherapy is a talk therapy that helps to identify patterns in relationships in the past and present.  My particular approach is dynamic; I love to listen but I am neither passive nor always quiet when appropriate.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

CBT can help you change how you think (cognition) and what you do (behavior). CBT focuses on your “here and now” problems rather than root causes, which may originate in your distant past. CBT uses a skills-oriented approach to help you find ways to improve your state of mind now and help you to develop practical techniques so you can avoid problems in the future.

Fees
